Hearts of Gold - The Ray Fauber Story

This film took two and half years to complete. In this documentary, we told the story of a Central Illinois man named Ray Fauber. We filmed and interviewed Ray, as well as his family and friends, about many aspects of his life including the love he has for the land, for cars, his family and St. Jude.

This documentary was shot with a two person team. My role on the documentary was filming b-roll as a second shooter as well as interviewing the subjects as a second angle. I also helped to conceptualize questions for the interviewees. Then in post-production, I was the lead editor for this 1-hour and 40-minute documentary. Editing the story down, adding b-roll, color grading, mixing audio and making sure a comprehensive story was being told.
